Mark T Haarer

Serving as Chief Operating Officer of General Microgrids, Mark also co-founded and is a managing partner with CleanSource Energy Partners (CSEP).  CSEP acts as a project developer of (primarily) closed-loop low temperature geothermal power plant systems, as well as ground source heating and cooling services.



Mark began his energy career with Sempra Energy's Southern California Gas Company in 1990. Between 1998-2010 he directed business on behalf of Sempra Energy’s non-utility companies; projects included permitting of liquefied natural gas terminals, coal and natural gas power plants, and renewable energy (wind and solar) facilities.


After founding Blue Marble Energy Services, a geothermal heat pump (GHP) company, he joined EnLink GeoEnergy Services -- a leading installer of GHP systems -- as Senior Vice President of Business Development.  Following EnLink, he founded CSEP.



Mark attended the University of California Santa Barbara, where he received in Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, and later earned his Master’s in Public Policy and Administration from the University of Southern California. Mark and his family reside in San Diego, California, where he is active in numerous community activities.
